Deadlock Items Guide: All Weapon, Spirit & Vitality Items
Deadlock items are the gear you buy from the Curiosity Shop to give your hero bonus stats and special abilities. Every hero starts a standard match with nine item slots, plus three Extra Slots that unlock after you destroy enemy Walkers. Items split into three types — Weapon, Spirit, and Vitality — across four price tiers, with 156 standard items and 17 extra Legendary items only in Street Brawl.
This deadlock items guide explains how the shop works, what each type does, and how investment bonuses and active items shape your build. Use it as a quick reference for costs, tiers, and the stats that matter most.
What Are Deadlock Items?
Items are in-game equipment that provide heroes with bonus stats and special abilities. There are currently 156 items available for purchase from any Curiosity Shop on the map. A further 17 Legendary items appear only in Street Brawl, where items also have a chance to be Enhanced for extra power.
Every hero begins a match with nine item slots that hold an item of any type or cost. Destroying enemy Walkers unlocks three Extra Slots. Items can be sold back for half their cost, or refunded in full before you leave the shop area.
The shop has three item types. Weapon items improve base weapons, damage, and bullet on-hit effects. Spirit items improve abilities and spirit power. Vitality items improve survivability, defense, and movement.
Item Tiers and Souls Costs
Items are split into four tiers by price, and every item in a tier costs the same Souls. Tier 1 costs Souls 800, Tier 2 costs Souls 1,600, Tier 3 costs Souls 3,200, and Tier 4 costs Souls 6,400. Legendary items sit above these at Souls 9,999.
Some Tier 2 and higher items have a component item from a previous tier. Buying the higher item consumes the component and discounts its cost from the new purchase. Extra Spirit (Souls 800) is a component for both Improved Spirit and Surge of Power, so buying either consumes your Extra Spirit and discounts the price by Souls 800.
Sold items refund half their cost, or the full value if sold before leaving the Curiosity Shop area, which is highlighted as a yellow rectangle on the ground.
Weapon, Spirit, and Vitality Items
Weapon items make your base weapon stronger, covering weapon damage, fire rate, ammo, bullet velocity, and on-hit effects. Examples include Extended Magazine and Rapid Rounds at Tier 1, Active Reload and Stalker at Tier 2, Tesla Bullets and Toxic Bullets at Tier 3, and Crippling Headshot or Ricochet at Tier 4.
Spirit items boost abilities and spirit power through extra spirit, cooldown reduction, and longer durations. Tier 1 offers Extra Spirit and Mystic Burst, Tier 2 adds Improved Spirit and Slowing Hex, Tier 3 brings Knockdown and Superior Cooldown, and Tier 4 holds Refresher, Echo Shard, and Cursed Relic.
Vitality items improve health, shields, lifesteal, and debuff reduction. Early picks include Extra Health and Healing Rite, then Healbane, Battle Vest, and Spirit Shielding at Tier 2. Later options include Metal Skin, Dispel Magic, and Warp Stone at Tier 3, plus Unstoppable, Colossus, and Leech at Tier 4.
Investment Bonuses
Buying items grants stat bonuses called Investments. They scale with the total Souls value of items you own per type, up to Souls 28,800 per type. Weapon investment grants Weapon Damage percentage, Spirit investment grants Spirit Power, and Vitality investment grants Health percentage.
| Souls Spent | Weapon Damage (%) | Spirit Power | Health (%) | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | 800 | +9 | +7 | +9 | | 1,600 | +12 | +11 | +12 | | 2,400 | +15 | +15 | +15 | | 3,200 | +18 | +19 | +20 | | 4,800 | +46 | +38 | +38 | | 6,400 | +54 | +45 | +42 | | 8,000 | +62 | +52 | +46 | | 11,200 | +74 | +59 | +50 | | 16,000 | +86 | +66 | +54 | | 22,400 | +100 | +75 | +60 | | 28,800 | +115 | +100 | +66 |
For example, buying Extended Magazine (Souls 800) first grants +9% weapon damage. A Tier 2 Weapon item such as Stalker (Souls 1,600) raises Weapon investment to Souls 2,400, adding +3% for +15% total. Investment is lost if you sell the item.
At Souls 4,800 a significant bonus arrives, commonly called the 4.8k spike. Hitting it before the enemy team creates a strong early power advantage.
Active Items
Active items give temporary effects when you press a key, and they have rounded corners in the shop. After purchase, each must be bound to one of four activation keys, so you can own at most four active items at once. Hold Tab or Alt and drag to rearrange slots.
| Item | Type | Souls | Effect | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Healing Rite | Vitality | 800 | Regen and Sprint Speed; dispelled by player damage. | | Rusted Barrel | Spirit | 800 | Reduces Fire Rate and Bullet Resistance. | | Cold Front | Spirit | 1,600 | Ice blast deals spirit damage and slows. | | Slowing Hex | Spirit | 1,600 | Slows target and silences movement items. | | Fleetfoot | Weapon | 1,600 | Bonus Move Speed and Slow Resistance. | | Metal Skin | Vitality | 3,200 | Become immune to bullets. | | Disarming Hex | Spirit | 3,200 | Disarms target and reduces Bullet Resist. | | Dispel Magic | Vitality | 3,200 | Purges non-ultimate debuffs and heals. | | Alchemical Fire | Weapon | 3,200 | Flask deals spirit damage over time, reduces Bullet Resist. | | Unstoppable | Vitality | 6,400 | Immune to Stun, Silence, Sleep, Root, and Disarm. | | Refresher | Spirit | 6,400 | Resets all ability cooldowns and charges. |
Some actives counter specific threats. Metal Skin grants temporary bullet immunity, Disarming Hex prevents shooting, and Rusted Barrel slows an enemy's fire rate. Dispel Magic purges non-ultimate negative effects, while Unstoppable blocks Stun, Silence, Sleep, Root, and Disarm.
Legendary, Cosmetic, and Removed Items
Legendary items cost Souls 9,999 and only appear in Street Brawl. They include Spirit options like Mystical Piano, Prism Blast, Shrink Ray, and Unstable Concoction, plus Vitality picks such as Celestial Blessing and Nullification Burst.
Cosmetic items are a unique active type available only during seasonal events. They are globally unlocked, take no item slot, grant no stats, and use a dedicated E key. Examples include the Snowball and Hero Vote Posters.
Some items were removed from the game, including Ammo Scavenger, Bullet Armor, Enduring Spirit, Soul Rebirth, and Spirit Armor. Unreleased items also exist in the game files and cannot be obtained through normal play.
Choosing Counter Items
Counter items answer specific enemy threats, and many cost Souls 800 or 1,600 for early use. Spirit Shielding, Weapon Shielding, Reactive Barrier, Battle Vest, Enchanter's Emblem, and Healbane each help against a damage type, while Healbane also reduces enemy healing.
Mid-game counters in the Souls 3,200 range include Counterspell and Dispel Magic. Counterspell negates one big telegraphed hit or stun, while Dispel Magic handles damage-over-time abilities and movement slows like Slowing Hex. Against gun-heavy enemies, Metal Skin grants temporary bullet immunity and Rusted Barrel slows fire rate.
Anti-heal items such as Healbane, Crippling Headshot, Inhibitor, and Spirit Burn reduce incoming healing. Cursed Relic interrupts, silences, disarms, and prevents item use. Do not over-invest in counters; build your own power spikes first, then buy one or two items that shut down the strongest enemy.
